Positive Safety Observation By Serjio Hernandez
On February 2nd I was doing my safety walk around during the #1 paper machine outage and I noticed a positive safety observation that really caught my attention. I stood there and witnessed until the employee was done going over not putting your hands in rope sheaves, under guards, or around guards in the basement of #1PM. Serjio Hernandez (pictured above) took each one of the new hire team members that was hired in the last couple days and explained to them about not placing their hands in any of these situations to remove tails. Mr. Hernandez also explained the use of the grabbers on retrieving tails.
Mr. Hernandez was presented a certificate of excellence for safety and a gift card!!!
THANK YOU SERJIO!!!
