Description
Candidate is responsible for planning layout, fabricating, assembling, installing and repairs instruments, both hydraulic and pneumatic, including primary piping and tubing.
Responsibilities
- Must follow ALL OSHA, company, and job site safety rules
- Be able to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams to perform the task
- Selects type and size of pipe and related material according to job specification
- Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs primary piping and tubing
- Assemble and secure fittings and related equipment
- Moves materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work sites
- Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications
- Replaces or repairs defective parts, using hand tools
- Installs associated support structures, components and tubing.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years’ experience as an instrument fitter or related experience
- Utilize basic math and a calculator to solve geometric problems associated with Instrument Fitting.
- Must be able to work well with others
- Must have good communication skills (verbally and written)
- Must be able to work after hours and weekends if needed
- Must be able to work in all types of environments, including inclement weather
- Must be able to work at elevated heights
- Must be able to climb multiple flights of stairs and occasional ladders
- Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs
