Description

Candidate is responsible for installs, repairs, and maintenance of pipe systems.

Responsibilities
  • Must follow ALL OSHA, Company, and job site safety rules
  • Must be able to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams to perform the task
  • Must be able to cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications using tools, such as, cutting torches, grinders, metabola's, pipe threaders and benders
  • Assemble and secure all related equipment
  • Attach pipes to wall, structures, and fixtures, using brackets, clamp tools, or welding equipment
  • Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading
  • Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications
  • Select pipe sizes, types, and related materials, such as, supports and hangers
  • Remove and replace worn component
  • Inspect work sites for obstructions and to ensure that holes will not cause structural weakness
  • Operate motorized pumps to remove water from flooded manholes, basements, or facility floors
Qualifications
  • Must be able to work well with others
  • Must have good communication skills (verbally and written)
  • Must be able to work after hours and weekends if needed
  • Must be able to work in all types of environments, including inclement weather and confined spaces
  • Must be able to work at elevated heights
  • Must be able to climb multiple flights of stairs and occasional ladders
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs
  • Must have 3 - 5 years experience
  • Must have knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
