Description
Candidate is responsible for assembling, maintaining, and installing structural and piping units.
Responsibilities
- Must follow ALL OSHA, Company, and job site safety rules
- Must be able to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams to perform the task
- Must know and have experience in TIG and Stick welding
- Measure pipe routings and fabricate them to fit existing in-line piping systems
- Plan and layout sequence of installation procedures to avoid obstruction in pipe laying and welding activities
- Assemble and install a variety of metal pipes and pipe fittings for both carbon steel and stainless projects
- Secure pipes to structures with clamps, brackets, and hangers using hand tools
- Remove slag and rough spots by operating portable grinders, metabos, or scrapers to ensure smooth work surfaces
- Clean, prepare, and install pipes with various fittings and weld joints
Qualifications
- Oklahoma STEAM card/welder certification
- Must be able to work well with others
- Must have good communication skills (verbally and written)
- Must be able to work after hours and weekends if needed
- Must be able to work in all types of environments, including inclement weather
- Must be able to work at elevated heights
- Must be able to climb multiple flights of stairs and occasional ladders
- Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs
