Hydro-Blaster Mechanic
Description
Candidate is responsible for transporting, performing setup, inspecting, operating, maintaining, & repairing high pressure water blasting equipment and industrial vacuuming equipment to perform proper removal, containment, transporting, and disposal of both hazardous and non-hazardous materials for the purpose of cleaning.
Responsibilities
- Must follow ALL OSHA, company and job site safety rules
- Transporting the hydro-blaster unit to area needed
- Setting up the equipment, (hoses, nozzles, and containment systems)
- Inspecting the equipment before each use for proper functionality and safety
- Operating the hydro-blaster to clean surfaces according to project requirements, adjusting pressure and nozzle settings as needed
- Monitoring water pressure and flow rate during cleaning operations
- Maintaining accurate documentation of work performed
- Completing necessary paperwork and reports
- Working in confined spaces or elevated areas as needed
Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Must be able to understand high-pressure water systems and safety protocols
- Must have the physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in demanding conditions
- Must be able to pay strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures
- Must have relevant training and certifications in hydro-blasting operations
