Description

A crane operator is responsible for safely operating cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment, while ensuring compliance with safety protocols and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Must have NCCCO
  • Must follow ALL OSHA, company, and job site safety rules
  • Must be able to manipulate levers, foot pedals, and dials to lift and position heavy materials
  • Ensure proper operation of equipment by performing regular checks on their functionality
  • Operate the equipment in the right direction and angles to prevent accidents and damage of property
  • Ensure and manage the equipment in a safe and secure way
  • Inspect, clean, lubricate, and refill equipment
  • Commit to the overall safety of the work environment by always taking extra precautions to work with the utmost care and consideration
  • Perform other duties when assigned
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience working with heavy equipment
  • Knowledge of proper operation of heavy equipment as well as safety standards
  • Candidate must maintain a good driving record and hold a current state issued driver’s license
  • Possess physical strength to operate heavy and power-driven equipment
  • A keen eye to details and good decision making skills
  • Work independently with minimum supervision
  • Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays if needed
  • Must be able to work well with others
  • Must be able to work in all types of environments, including inclement weather
  • Must have good communication skills (verbally and written)
