Electrical Journeyman
Description
Candidate will engage in the actual installations, alterations, repairs or renovations of complex electrical systems, including large industrial machinery, conveyor belts, processing equipment, and power distribution networks, while adhering to strict safety protocols and industry standards, often requiring specialized knowledge of high-voltage systems and deep understanding of mill and job site operations.
Responsibilities
- Must follow ALL OSHA, company, and job site safety rules
- Be able to read blueprints and diagrams
- Operate various trade specific hand and/or power tools
- Possess trade specific hand tools
- SAFELY test electrical systems using tools of trade to determine where issues may be occurring, the safety of the system and to ensure compatibility
- SAFELY repair electrical issues by replacing or installing components, wiring or devices
- Maintain equipment to ensure it is in good condition and can operate or be used safely; report any issues to immediate foreman
- Must perform work in a timely and quality manner that meets or exceeds the satisfaction of the company
Qualifications
- 3-5 Years Experience
- Must be able to work at elevated heights
- Must be able to climb multiple flights of stairs and occasional ladders
- Must be able to work in extreme conditions, including inclement weather
- Must be willing to work after hours and weekends, when needed
- Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in writing, verbal, and/or diagram form
- Must be able to communicate and work well with others
