Candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of diesel equipment.
Responsibilities
- Must follow ALL OSHA, company, and job site safety rules
- Operate various pieces of large equipment (dozer, grader, front-end loader, and other related equipment)
- Ensure proper operation of equipment by performing regular checks on their functionality
- Perform diagnostic tests on diesel vehicles
- Analyze diagnostic test results
- Repairing and replacing parts, engine, steering, transmission, braking or lighting system components
- Inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, and refilling equipment
- Commit to the overall safety of the work environment by always taking extra precautions to work with the utmost care and consideration
- Perform other duties when assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience
- Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components
- Must be physically fit and be able to lift up to 150 pounds
- Valid Driver’s License
- Good diagnostic skills
- Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools
- Knowledge of proper operation of heavy equipment as well as safety standards
- A keen eye to details and good decision making skills
- Work independently with minimum supervision
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays if Needed
- Must be able to work well with others
- Must be able to work in all types of environments, including inclement weather
- Excellent communication skills (verbally and written)
- Good organization skills
