Civil Foreman
Description
A civil foreman is a critical field leader in concrete and masonry work. Candidate will be responsible for directing crews in foundation laying, formwork, pouring, and finishing. Candidate will manage daily site activities, interpret blueprints, and ensure projects meet exact structural specifications, budget targets, and strict safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Crew Supervision: Delegate daily tasks, train tradespeople, and mentor workers to ensure high-quality craftsmanship.
- Site Layout & Planning: Interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints, lay out building lines, and establish grades.
- Quality & Progress Control: Inspect subgrades, string lines, formwork, and finished concrete to correct defects and ensure compliance with contract documents.
- Resource Management: Coordinate equipment delivery, requisition materials, and track time and production reports.
- Safety & Compliance: Must follow and enforce ALL OSHA rules and regulations, as well as all company rules and regulations, hold daily safety briefings, and ensure all formwork and shoring are securely supported.
Qualifications
- Experience: Requires 3-5+ years of hands-on leadership experience in commercial or industrial concrete and masonry.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in using tools such as lasers, power trowels, saws, and survey instruments. Working knowledge of project management software (e.g., Procore) and estimation tools.
- Certifications: OSHA certifications (OSHA 10 or 30).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
